JONATHAN ISAAC (ORL)
UNDERDOG
NBA ROLE: VERSATILE COMBO WING/FORWARD
A 6'10 wing, Orlando's Jonathan Isaac is an embodiment of the new wave of positionless athletes entering the NBA; when healthy, Isaac plays a pretty refined game: though he’s re-adjusting to playing through after multiple injuries there aren’t many weaknesses you can pinpoint as "impossible" for him to perfect - solid ball-handler, really stands out as a versatile defender; great piece for a defensive foundation - Isaac’s a disruptor (uses his long wingspan to deflect "simple" passes other players can't get to), slots right into ORL's young corps; solid shooter, high release point - pick & pops, off brush screens, off the bounce - Isaac gets clean looks w/ ease, must develop confidence from all areas; solid 1st step, must work on moving w/o the rock when playing on the wing; needs to add strength, work on finishing thru contact; critical X-Factor: Isaac often finds himself closing games
